Description

Features
  • Completely waterproof and dustproof on the front and therefore easy to clean.
  • Compact design with the option of integrating electronic components.
  • Excellent tactile feedback through the use of spring steel snap disks.
  • Long service life and switching reliability when using gold contacts, both on snap disks and on the circuit board contacts
Production process
  • Flat input keyboards consist of plastic foils that are produced using the screen printing process.
  • Basically, they consist of the following layers:
  • Between the above-mentioned foils there are so-called spacers which, for example, allow the metal snap disks to be positioned (for key clicks) or serve as electrical insulation or height compensation. On request, we manufacture with front panels (circuit board as the lower contact layer) or e.g. aluminum front panels with stud bolts for assembly. Complex flat input keyboards can easily have 10 layers and more.
Electrical interconnection
  • Socket strips with a pitch of 2.54mm (0.1 ") are common for the electrical connection to the keyboard controller. We offer you as a standard solution a) Crimpflex (uncoded) or b) Duflex (coded). Other connection systems are also possible on request.
Design
In order to be able to make you an offer for a customer-specific flat input keyboard, we need a drawing of the keyboard and the answers to the following questions:

When using a connection lug, mark the position of the outlet, the direction and the protrusion in relation to the visible front on your drawing. A simple hand sketch is sufficient for an initial estimate of the creation effort.

Component Integration:Of course, if you wish, we can also offer you the GeBE keyboard controller that is optimal for your task.
Design:We support you regarding design wishes.
Data format: If you already have drawings in digital form, we can use them. We work with AutoCAD, Vellum and Corel-Draw. So you can send us .dwg, .dxf, .vlm, .igs, .crd files.
