Description

The snap disk, also known as the cracking frog, provides electrical switching and tactile feedback for various keyboard designs.
It consists of a high-quality spring steel that is predominantly gold-plated or contact-refined in some other way. This refinement prevents these discs from "tarnishing" and thus guarantees a long service life and good, constant switching properties. Snap disks made of plastic also give tactile feedback, but they do not take over electrical switching of the circuit. The advantage of such a snap disk is that it is translucent and can thus be backlit. There are different sizes (8, 10, 12, 16mm) and pressure strengths (approx. 2-4 N) of these crackers, so keyboards can be created exactly according to your needs. The minimum grid dimension between two adjacent keys should not be less than the size of the snap disk + 5 mm. Example: Dome size 10mm -> key spacing> = 15mm
