GeBE has extended their vandalism-proof TVG series with a new module: The custom stainless steel front panels now also provide space for an integrated capacitive touch pad. The modules can be customized with two or three stainless steel mouse buttons. They feature high resistance to chemical and mechanical damage. They are ideal for highly frequented outdoor applications, such as kiosks and information terminals. The integrated controller lets the user choose between PS/2 and USB connections.
Heavy Duty Modules
Due to the extensive protection of the electronic components, the guide elements, and contacts, the TVG series is ideal for highly frequented applications such as for information-, kiosk- or fair terminals. Customized solutions such as the size of the Trackball, the number of the mouse keys or the integration in alternative front plates will be offered.
Trackballs in different Technologies
The dimensions of the impact resistant front panel module are 100 mm x 111 mm x 27 mm. It is also still available with a mechanical or optical trackball with a diameter of 38 or 50 mm, and with two or three integrated mouse buttons. Both trackball and touch pad can easily be integrated in various applications for right- or left-handed users. The trackballs are carried on extremely robust and durable steel bearings.
Capacitive Touchpad
The touchpad technology is based on the princIPle of capacitiveness, i.e. an input reaction due to the finger touch. The touchpad has no moving parts and is therefore extremely robust. The integrated controller lets the user choose between PS/2 and USB connections.
