Item no. 2054

With integrated Ghost-Key-Detection

Description

Germering, July 13, 2006.
With the membrane keyboard GFT-51, GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH has developed a versatile and compact keyboard with integrated ghost key detection. Incorrect key combinations by the user are automatically recognized and reported to the PC via acustic signal. The GFT-51 can be operated very comfortably single-handedly. It features a second function level through the complete standard layout. The module has a USB/PS2 combo-port (autodetect).
Avoiding Program Errors
The number of keys on a keyboard that can be operated simultaneously without causing an error depends on the type of matrix technology used. If more than three keys are Pressed simultaneously, ostensible keystrokes are generated that are different than the ones actually pressed. These "ghost keys" result in incorrect input or can even make the operation of a program impossible.
Intelligent Matrix Design
The controller that is integrated in the GFT-51 automatically recognizes the incorrect input on the basis of the sophisticated matrix design. Whenever ghost keys occur, generated by complex or hasty input, these keystrokes are erased, and an error message is sent to the PC.
For Tight Conditions
The GFT-51 is ideal for applications with limited space and can be customized to customer requirements in color and shape. The IP 65 module has a USB/PS2 combo-port (autodetect).
