| Available immediately, GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH is introducing the newly developed keyboard controller system GCK-990 to the market. The controller system comes with special software that is not only USB 2.0 compatible, but also has integrated Ghost-Key-Detection. The first product working with this system is the GeBE silicone keyboard KWD-85 in a front panel housing. The dimensions of this compact keyboard are 400 x 134 x 15.6 mm. There are two versions available, one with an intergrated 38 mm Trackball, and one with a capacitive Touchpad. | |
| Automatic Error Recognition | |
| With the new system, the user gets to enjoy the advantage of the so-called 'auto detect double-function port', which lets the computer recognize automatically upon cable connection, whether it is connected to a PS/2 or a USB interface. | |
| The Ghost-Key-Detection that is integrated in the controller makes the use of decoupling diodes unnecessary. The function automatically recognizes accidental input errors or wrong key combinations. A beep sound triggered at the computer indicates an error. | |
| Controller can manage up to 144 keys | |
| The Controller-System GCK-990 will be delivered standard programmed and can be customized programmed on request. Up to 144 keys can be connected in a matrix, so practically all estblished keyboards with a contact transition resistance smaller than 500 Ohm that have diodes at the cross-over points of the matrix can be used (for example membrane, contact, rubber keyboards). The key matrix includes a functions key (Fn) that controls alternative key assignments for 50 keys maximum. | |
| Integrated number block function on secondary level | |
| The front panel version of the KWD-85 with 85 keys total meets the IP65 standard due to its protective silicone keypad . Therefore, areas of application are limitless. The design of the key layout is very compact and adapted to the standard layout. The integrated number block can be activated on a secondary level. The silicone keypad provides a nice user feeling due to the positive click. | |
