GeBE Computer & Peripherie GmbH has introduced the KVC-88 Freely Programmable Stainless Steel Keyboard Heat and Vandal Resistant Data Input Device, a very long name for a very tough stainless steel keyboard designed for front panel installation. The outstanding feature of this keyboard is that it is freely programmable, while offering special protection against the effects of the heat and the impact of vandalism. Its durability comes from the special ABS plastic coating of the keys, plus an integrated deflector that absorbs forces affectring the keyboard from the outside. The KVC-88 has an optional 38 mm trackball and is available with a USB interface.
Ideal for POS and public areas
The keyboard meets DIN IP 65 requirements and is ideal for public areas such as kiosk or POS applications. The embossed, laser engraved stainless steel keys cannot be forcefully removed - due to the way they are fixed to the panel. And thanks to the special ABS plastic coating of the keys, the mechanics of the device cannot be affected by cigarettes, or even lighters. An integrated 38 mm stainless steel or plastic trackball is also available as an option. All of the alphanumeric keys can be assigned to individual key combinations and also to characters and numerals required by the user. The integrated controller supports all international languages.
